The Body of Moses to utwór promujący nowy album 'Jude'(2019) zespołu Psallos. Tekst opiera się na fragmencie Pisma Świętego, a dokładniej 9 wersecie Listu św. Judy.
Psallos to grupa muzyków która chce tworzyć znakomitą artystycznie i bogatą teologicznie muzykę: melodie i teksty, które przypominają prawdy Pisma Świętego; harmonie, rytmy i barwy, które wyrażają emocjonalny ciężar tych prawd. Ich misja najwyraźniej znalazła swój kształt w ich albumach opartych na listach Nowego Testamentu, z których pierwszym był List do Rzymian z 2015 roku.
Od tego czasu Psallos wydał dwie inne ważne płyty (do Hebrajczyków w 2017 i list św. Judy w 2019).
Psallos planuje opracować muzycznie wszystkie 21 listów Nowego Testamentu. Obecnie pracują nad Listem do Filipian.

The Body of Moses – Psallos
One day, the devil came up and said,
“I heard that Moses is dead.
I remember when he killed that man
Long ago in Egypt-land.
There’s no honor for the burial of bloody hands.”
He said,
“Give me the body of Moses,
Give me his flesh and bones;
Give me the body of Moses,
I have claimed him for my own.”
And that’s when, Michael came down and spoke,
“Oh devil, you talk of what you don’t know.
I remember when you first rebelled,
Long ago when the angels fell.
There’s no honor and truth in the words of hell.”
He said,
“Give me the body of Moses,
Give me his flesh and bones;
Give me the body of Moses,
God has claimed him for my own.”
And though Michael could have uttered a curse upon his head,
Judging that devil to the level of a rebel where he made his bed,
He said,
“Devil, the Lord rebuke you!
Devil, your time will come.
Devil, the Lord rebuke you!
God will judge you when it’s done.”
“And give me the body of Moses,
Give me his flesh and bones;
Give me the body of Moses,
God has claimed him for His own!”
